Transylvania Furniture Cluster promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, transferability and mutual trust as key elements for increasing competitiveness.

The vision and mission of Transylvania Furniture Cluster is to reinforce and further develop its own value chain, as prerequisite for an easy access to cost-effective and qualitative resources and production factors, to increase productivity through research, development and innovation, to contribute to horizontal and vertical development based on shared standards along the entire supply chain (procurement - production - packaging - warehousing - sale - transport), capable to generate a positive impact on the competitiveness of its products on the national and international market, aimed to boost the volume and value of sales.

GOAL:

TO ENHANCE ECONOMIC COMPETITIVENESS ON THE DOMESTIC AND GLOBAL MARKET, RELYING ON QUALITY, INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:


  • Development of a common RDI materials infrastructure (technologies and materials specific to furniture industry);
  • To design innovative products / services / processed through RDI partnership projects aimed at sustainable development;
  • To consolidate and develop its value chain by increasing inter-member interaction and attracting other organisations which share the cluster’s vision, mission and objectives;
  • To increase the aggregate turnover in order to raise the cluster’s representativeness and enhance members’ contribution;
  • To increase the aggregate export revenues, by expanding into new markets and consolidating the cluster’s current market shares;
  • To implement common quality management standards in order to improve common procurement and sales at the level of the cluster;
  • To gain international recognition, by implementation of specific standards;
  • To improve employees’ skills and professional competences, pursuing training programs / courses;
  • To develop internal capabilities to monitor the applicable industry laws and to make proposals for enactment into law and/or amendment of the existing legislation;
  • To gain more visibility for the purpose of improving the cluster’s representativeness.

ART. 6 NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONE

The Management Board is responsible to define the membership procedure and review applicants’ compliance with the eligibility criteria. Any entity with legal personality, which brings added value to the furniture industry’s value chain, can become member of the association.
